Permanent magnets maintain a magnetic field without electrical power. Common materials include NdFeB, ferrite, SmCo and AlNiCo. Magnetic sheet is a flexible form of permanent magnet. Applications include holding, motors, sensors and magnetic signage; material choice depends on the required strength, temperature and application.
Electromagnet — แม่เหล็กไฟฟ้า

An electromagnet produces a magnetic field when current flows through a coil, usually around an iron core. Electrical controls switch the attraction on and off, making it useful where holding and release must follow an operating cycle.
Electropermanent Magnet — แม่เหล็กไฟฟ้าถาวร
ใช้แม่เหล็กถาวรสร้างแรงดูดจับ และใช้กระแสไฟฟ้าช่วงสั้น ๆ ผ่านขดลวดเพื่อสลับสถานะดูด–ปล่อย โดยไม่ต้องจ่ายไฟต่อเนื่องระหว่างจับยึด เหมาะกับงานจับยึดและยกชิ้นงานที่ต้องการควบคุมด้วยไฟฟ้า
An electropermanent magnet uses permanent magnets to provide holding force and short electrical pulses through a coil to switch between holding and release. No continuous power is required to maintain the holding state. Applications include electrically controlled workholding and lifting.
Magnetic Separator — เครื่องคัดแยกเศษเหล็ก
ใช้สนามแม่เหล็กดักจับและแยกเศษเหล็กหรือโลหะที่ตอบสนองต่อแม่เหล็กออกจากวัตถุดิบ ช่วยลดการปนเปื้อนและความเสียหายต่อเครื่องจักร มีทั้งระบบแม่เหล็กถาวรและแม่เหล็กไฟฟ้า โดยเลือกเครื่องให้เหมาะกับกระบวนการแบบแห้งหรือแบบเปียก เช่น ผง เม็ด ของเหลว หรือวัตถุดิบผสมน้ำ
A magnetic separator removes iron and other magnetically responsive contaminants from raw materials, helping to reduce contamination and equipment damage. Permanent and electromagnetic designs are available, with specific models for dry powders and granules or wet liquids and slurries. Magnetic separation does not remove every type of metal.
